learning to love my body♥

Home · Archive · RSS · Mobile · Ask · Submit · my story. · [STARTED: 10.10.11] I'm a 19-year-old, 5'1", skinny as hell woman with a fast metabolism, who's part of a daily struggle to accept, love, and embrace my body.

When people say I’m “pretty”,

I just don’t see it.

Where do you think self consciousness comes from?

Yourself?
Society?
Do you believe it could be a learned behavior?

I’m interested in your thoughts on this.

I know I’m always saying I hate being (and feeling) so skinny,

but I think today is the first time I’ve ever felt… fat.
Well, maybe fat isn’t the right word.
I’ve been gaining weight in my stomach area, to the point where I’m getting flab and a muffin top.
It’s difficult to have twiggish arms, a slightly big butt, thinish but cellulite legs, and a flabby stomach.

I feel so disproportionate right now.

I only focus on the negative things about my body.

I can pick out every single flaw. My pole arms, cellulite, slightly flabby stomach, big nose.
I never focus on good things, or compliments.

I suppose when you hear more negative things about your body than positive things, you start to block out all the pretty things and only focus on the ugly.
